JOB OPENING for FINS

Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work Administration, other Behavioral Science, or closely related field; supplemented by three (3) years previous experience in case management and family law, social service or courts.

The purpose of the position is to develop, supervise, direct, expand, and successfully maintain the Ascension Parish FINS (Families In Need of Services) Process. Performs supervisory, administrative, professional work and has problem solving and decision-making authority for FINS operations.  Management duties include policy and procedure development and its implementation; training and supervision of personnel; budgetary and fiscal authority of FINS office (in conjunction with the Judicial Administrator) and be the FINS ambassador to stakeholders, the school system, community, local and state officials involved with at risk children and families.
