Candace K. Washington serves as the Judicial Administrator for the 23rd Judicial District Court. She is a graduate of Columbia Southern University, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership.
A lifelong resident of Ascension Parish, Candace has extensive experience in the judicial system, previously serving with the Ascension Parish Clerk of Court and the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court before joining the 23rd Judicial District Court in 2020. In April 2025, she was sworn in as Secretary of the Louisiana Court Administrators Association by the Honorable Chief Judge Michael Craig, where she also serves on the board of directors.
Candace is an active member of the National Association for Court Management where she serves on the State & Partner Association Committee, Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society, the National Society of Leadership & Success, and the Columbia Southern University Alumni Association.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Candace is deeply rooted in her faith. Her spiritual journey began as a child under Pastor Isaiah J. Webster at Greater New Guide Baptist Church, where she remains an active member under the leadership of Pastor Mark C. Thomas. She believes strongly in faith, service, and leadership in both her community and her career.
