Judge Alvin Turner, Jr.
Judge Alvin Turner, Jr., was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 10, 1955. He is the son of the late Alvin Turner, Sr., of Lutcher, Louisiana and the late Maude Thompson Dumas Turner of Geismar, Louisiana. He is married to Cherlynn Pinell Turner, retired secretary from Ascension Parish School System. Judge Turner and his wife have three (3) children, Travis ( a 2001 graduate of LSU and a 2004 graduate of the Southern University Law Center ), Tyler (a 2007 graduate of LSU in Sociology), and Terrilyn (a 2009 graduate of LSU with a B.A. in Mass Communication and a Masters in Public Administration from Southern University in 2013). They reside in Gonzales, Louisiana. Judge Turner has one (1) grandson, Tristan; four (4) granddaughters, A’lana, Tori, Addison and Chandler; and one (1) step-grandson, Kameron.
